I've come out of hiding

I have not left my apartment since 4 am Sunday.

I've been feeling under the weather last couple of days, which explains my going into hibernation and drowning myself in Joni Mitchell, emancipator and Justin Nozuka?? FTW? Now that I'm finally exposing my lifeless face to daylight, the gods decide to welcome me with thunder and rain. Oh and I have to do a 3 hour walking tour, and get filmed doing a night market tour for the Hias website tonight. If you go online and coil back in horror at a ragged face with bloodshot eyes jabbing a deep-fried scorpion in your face, trust me I've had better days.

The farthest I've gone since Sunday was to the front door this morning to pay the delivery guy for my opera ticket. Yea! I'm seeing Rigoletto on Saturday with my lovely Megzican, who is actually on a transatlantic flight right now over from Toronto! She comes bearing gifts of 1 unit of Diva Cup (if u don't know, now u know), 1 package Twix ( I need my fix!), and 1 jar Dulce de Leche (which I need to finish before I leave Beijing next Thursday).

O yea, I leave Beijing next Thursday??? This is way too effing weird. I still don't feel like I got my fix of this city. Now I still have a final exam looming in the near distance and I hate that it's distracting me from enjoying my last days in the city.

sore ass and other ailments

so i am infamous for tripping, falling, prostrating before pavement, throwing ice cream onto my hair instead of into my mouth, and the list goes on. Apparently high altitude does not cure me of this predicament. I can now proudly show off a violet bruise on my right ass cheek from a similar episode today. Now I can add this to my list of ailments when trying to sleep tonight!

oh and as if sniffling and coughing since I got here from the biting cold at night wasn't enough, I fell ill today as well! they say it is better to get sick in the beginning of your trip rather than later, and i guess this is a blessing? in a fkng rosy diguise?? im not sure what i ate, but i was nauseous all day and then after suffering for hours finally chucked up last nights dinner. mmm yummy

oh and there's also been an issue on the Visa front. They will not issue me a visa because i used to be chinese and now am canadian. say what? I was born in China, and they won't let me in the country?? trying to get that sorted out but for now my trip to pokhara has been delayed by a day until Sat morning.

im sure it will work out as roadblocks like this were bound to have occured. will update as events progress!

i may not last the four hours. kill me now and revive me in time for my flight on thursday.


if canada wanted to get rid of me fast, its doing a fucking good job with the weather these past days. -20 with wind chill yesterday, then finally, 4 today but lets add some rain and slush to the mix! make sure her unsprayed uggs get soaked for the rest of the day... see if she ever comes back again har har
